And You?” took place in Minsk Environmental School ¹ 19 In the framework of EC/UNDP project “Building capacity for Strategic environmental assessment and implementation of environmental conventions in Belarus” a PR action “Climate is changing. And You?” has been conducted in Minsk Environmental School ¹ 19. This action confined to Copenhagen UN summit on climate change and the output of the project’s “dynamic” brochure aimed to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions in atmosphere. This environmental action was intended to draw public attention to the agenda of the Copenhagen Summit, and to demonstrate real contribution of the European Union and UNDP in addressing greenhouse gas emissions. A thematic ecological drawings, posters, comics, flyers competition has been held as part of campaign. Participants had a possibility to see children’s theatrical show in costumes made from household waste and natural materials. Following children's ecological projects were also presented during the action: “Let’s give waste a second chance”, “Ecological track”, “Environmental Choice” and brochure “Why the climate warms?” Experts of EU/UNDP project demonstrated “dynamic" booklet's work, which allows to calculate the personal “carbon track” and made recommendations for its reduction. Winners of children's contests and all participants of environmental projects were awarded by prizes by EU/UNDP project. EC/UNDP project’s head Dmitry Frischin underlined during the award ceremony the relevance and high importance of action in the context of the Copenhagen Summit and stressed that the project is interested in further cooperation with the EcologicalSchooland other belarussian schools.
