Hack4SocialChange — the first event within the Innovation lab. The goal is — to bring together young people to jointly find solutions to the problems and challenges faced in Belarus. The Hack4SocialChange is organized in the format of a Hackathon — for 48 hours participants will develop operating prototypes to solve social problems and challenges. Belarus continues the expansion of the network of methadone substitution therapy offices. Currently, there are about 1,000 patients throughout the country. The 18th methadone substitution therapy point was opened today on the premises of the Homiel Tuberculosis and Narcological Dispensary. Implemented by UNDP ongoing grants of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria sponsored the repair and installation of the equipment. Belarus will receive 23.8 million EUROs to prevent HIV and reduce AIDS–related mortality rate. An agreement to this end was sighed today between the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and the United Nations Development Programme. In January 2009, rehabilitation of the degraded peatland Osveiskoye started in Verhnedvinsk district of Vitebsk region.
