Christian Churches of Belarus have become active in the common fight against AIDS; the Social Partnership Declaration on HIV/AIDS of the Christian Churches in Belarus has been signed. At the same time, Churches of Belarus should enhance their capacity and develop regular exchange of information and tools for practical activities related to HIV and AIDS.

Development by the Church of a manual on HIV and AIDS problem (multimedia and printed), operation of the interdenominational information resource centre, activities of the Church Expert and Consulting Council as well as involvement in specialized seminars and conferences will activate actions of Churches along this line and improve quality of their work.

Implementation of mini-projects on the HIV and AIDS problem by Church initiatives will enhance capacities of Churches and give them opportunity to identify their priorities, develop mechanisms and acquire practical skills in HIV and AIDS issues.

Planned Results:

- The multimedia and printed manual on the HIV and AIDS for clergymen and leaders of Christian Churches of Belarus;

- Promotion of the involvement of Church communities in HIV and AIDS activities through implementation of mini-projects, participation in special activities and providing effective communication process;

- Activities of the Church on HIV and AIDS related issues are managed and coordinated jointly by the Church leaders, clergymen and laity through the Church Expert and Consulting Council (CECC).
