The ultimate objective of the medium-sized project, that will result from this PDF-A, is to enable Belarus to develop capacity for effective implementation of sustainable land management policy as a means to improve the environment, enhance its integrity and ecosystem functions, as well as improve the social situation in Belarus, in line with the requirements of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification/Land Degradation, which has been recently ratified by Belarus. |
