I am pleased to introduce you to the United Nations Country Team in Belarus. We are a unique set of diverse institutions united by our common vision for the development of Belarus and empowerment of its people. Together with many
nonresident UN agencies, we offer an array of best practices, knowledge, and resources to Belarus. In the process, we receive and greatly appreciate tremendous support from our national and international partners, namely the government, civil society organisations, international donors, and the private
sector.
The UN Country Team in Belarus is working jointly on objectives defined under the first UN Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) for Belarus for 2011–2015. The UNDAF focuses on five strategic areas – social and economic development, health care, the environment, migration, and governance. These strategic areas will set the direction and scope of action of UN assistance to Belarus over the next five
years and enable it to most effectively respond to national priorities.
We look forward to our prospective cooperation for the benefit of Belarus!
Yours sincerely,
Antonius Broek,
