Increasing capacity of the MDR-TB treatment in Belarus

From 2 to 6 April 2012 a mission to Belarus organized by WHO/Europe will provide technical assistance in increasing the capacity of TB specialists in Belarus to treat MDR-TB. GLC expert Gunta Dravniece (KNCV, Netherlands) will visit TB facilities in Brest and Gomel region and will meet National TB program management.

The main objectives of the monitoring mission are to provide technical assistance and recommendations on treatment of the MDR-TB patients enrolled with the support of The Global Fund project implemented by UNDP “Support to the State program Tuberculosis” in Belarus.
